Out of This World

BLENDER • PHOTOSHOP

Created for Geelong Illustrators' ‘Out of This World’ art exhibition, this series was designed to evoke a sense of awe while adhering to a limited yet striking colour palette.

The series features two compositions that explore themes of isolation and wonder in the vastness of deep space. Both pieces center on a solitary space station, suspended in the endless void.

The station drifts silently against a backdrop of a massive gas giant that dominates the composition. Its cloud rings creates a sense of depth and scale, encircle the planet while not quite fitting within the composition.

The pieces invite viewers to contemplate the scale of the universe and the isolation of human-made structures within it, evoking both a sense of awe at the vast unknown and a quiet stillness that comes with deep space exploration.
